Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data SideQuest collects, why, and what your rights are under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

What we collect

• Your name and email address, from your login.
• Evidence you give for verification: a school or work email, a recognition or business document, or a public web link.
• Your org’s or brand’s profile: description, audience numbers, social media links, logo, and cover.
• What you do on SideQuest: quests, pitches, proof of work, payment confirmations, reviews, messages, and reports.
• An org’s payment instructions, which only brands with a spot that org won can see.

Why we use it

• To run the service: match brands and orgs, show profiles, track work, and send notifications.
• To keep SideQuest safe: verify orgs and brands, and act on reports.
• To email you about events on SideQuest. You can turn off most emails in your settings.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

• Public on SideQuest: org and brand profiles, quests, reviews after they become visible, and a brand’s payment record.
• Only the two sides of a quest: pitches, proof of work, and messages.
• Only the SideQuest team: verification evidence and reports.
• Our service providers, only to run SideQuest: hosting, database, login, email, and file storage.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. Records of completed quests and reviews stay with the org or brand they belong to. Verification documents are kept for one year after the decision.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct it, to object to its use, to ask for it to be erased or blocked, to data portability, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To use these rights, reply to any SideQuest email, and the SideQuest team answers within 15 working days.
